The General Officer commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Faruq Mijinyawa has formally decorated the newly promoted senior officers.
The ceremony took place at the 81 Division officers Mess outer-marina Lagos, where the atmosphere was charged with pride and celebration as officers were recognized for their exemplary service and dedication.
The special guest of honor, Who is The General Officer commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Faruq Mijinyawa in his address emphasized the importance of leadership, Commitment and the new responsibilities that comes with higher rank.
He commended the Officers for their resilience and contributions to the division success.
Among the decorated officers were2 colonel to Brigadier General: Colonel CI NWONYI and Colonel MA Usman now elevated to Brigadier General, 10 Liteutant Colonels to Colonels: LT Col OS Okoi, LT Col MM MARUWA, LT Col NA Waziri, LT Col BI Amajuoyi, LT Col AM Abdu, LT Col YB Yakubu, LT Col EG Yusuf, LT COL BK Musa, LT Col UI Lezuya, LT COL MI Abdulrahman. 5 Major to Liteutant Colonel: Major MC Ndubisi, Major BC Eze, Major CJ AKOH, Major MS Jibril, Major S Aliyu.
Afterwards, The vote of Thanks was given by Newly Promoted senior officer Brigadier General MA Usman, in his address, He went on to thank the almighty God, Commander-in- chief of the Armed forces, The chief of Army Staff(COAS), for finding them worthy of the rank. He commended the General Officer Commanding(GOC) for giving the ceremony an expedition.
In attendance were distinguished Military officers, Dignitaries and families.
