Obi Is Not the Politician We Need
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in Lagos state for the Year 2023 general election, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has said that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is not the politician Nigeria needs.
Mr Rhodes however described Mr Peter Obi has the leader the Nigerian people need at this moment in the history of the Nation.
According to Rhodes, who lost the governorship election in Lagos State to the incumbent Governor Sanwo Olu while speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast said, “Obi is not the politician “we need for us, Peter Obi is the leader that we need for Nigeria” Insisting that Peter (Obi) does not buy votes but “won Lagos without buying votes.”
Obi finished in third position during last year’s polls, behind President Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar while Rhodes-Vivour lost Lagos to APC, the party of the incumbent Governor. The young Rhodes challenged the election result all the way to the Supreme Court, where the judgment unanimously delivered by 5 Man panel in January 2024, affirmed the declaration of Sanwo-Olu as the winner.
