The Army Council has on Thursday 21 December 2023, approved the promotion of 47 Brigadier Generals and 75 colonels to the ranks of Major General and Brigadier General respectively.
In a release by one of the beneficiaries, the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, now promoted Major General, highlighted those promoted Major General to include, Brig Gen WB Etuk Commandant Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management, Brig Gen JE Osifo Commandant Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration, Brigadier General WM Dangana Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI and Brig Gen TB Ugiagbe Acting Chief of Military Intelligence,

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja congratulates the newly promoted senior officers and their families. He has also charged them to redouble their efforts to justify their elevation and the confidence reposed in them.
