I will lead Imo State with My Secondary School Certificate – Senator Attan Achonu
One of the top contestants in the upcoming off season governorship elections in Imo State, the Labour Party Candidate, Senator Attan Achonu has said that he is more than competent to lead the Imo State people with his Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
Senator Attan made the statement yesterday 20 October 23 on Channels Television popular political programme, Politics Today. Asked by Seun Okinbaloye, the anchor, if he has a bachelor degree certificate, Senator Attan replied that he has only Secondary School Certificate which is enough to rule the state.
He said he has been a successful businessman and employer of labour. He allege that other candidates are mere employers of drivers and maids, he promised to transform Imo with his business and political experience.
Achonu while promising the Imo indigenes that he would change the security situation in Imo state also alleged that the present administration in the State has failed woefully. He promised to establish local vigilante groups to end insecurity.
Senator Attan Achonu further promised to ensure that Local Government has complete autonomy under him to fight insecurity. Accordin to him, the chairmen and councillors would be voted for by the people and must be accountable to the electorates who voted them.
He added that no councillor would allow criminals to hide in his/her domain as according to him, that will result to failure.
