In his usual strategic moves, the President and the Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is presently visiting the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona in Ijebu-Ode from where he will be proceeding to Abeokuta to visit the Alake of Egbaland.
In his remarks, Awujale asked Tinubu to ensure his ministerial appointments covers all the geo-political zones of the country. He said, “its not only for one side, it should be for all”.
He commended the president for the giant strides he has taken so far within the few weeks he took over the leadership of this country. He said he is sure that Tinubu will take the Nation to the promise land.
Awujale also recounted his days with Tinubu in the then NADECO, describing him as the right choice for the nation. He prayed tirelessly for the president and the success of the Nation.
While responding, Tinubu said the Awujale is no longer the ” Baba NADECO that he used to be, but Baba President ( Meaning President’s father). He thanked the traditional rulers and the governor for their support for the election. The president recounted the agony of the people of Ogun State during the Naira swap of the last administration. He thanked the people for their patience and promised to deliver the gains of democracy.
However, the former Vice President Osinbanjo was not visible where high profile politicians in Ogun State were seen to welcome the president. Reasons for his absence was not known at the time of filing this report.
